Indonesian DeFi Project

5. Tokocrypto, Indonesia‘s first regulated crypto exchange under the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency Indonesia (BAPPEBTI), has announced it will develop Indonesia’s first hybrid CeDeFi token (TKO) on top of the Binance Smart Chain.

TKO combines the best of both worlds from Centralised Finance (CeFi) and Decentralised Finance (DeFi). DeFis lending and staking products can help speed up adoption among the unbanked population of Indonesia while CeFi still offers easy-to-use and more mainstream products.

6. The Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa (CONSOB) has shut down four new websites in an ongoing clampdown against firms it accuses of illegally promoting trading products in the country.

FCA Warning

7. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) sounded an alarm about a fraudulent clone website that was impersonating BNKPro Ltd, a London-based company that operates the brand FxPro Invest Ltd. The watchdog warned investors to watch out for other websites that claim their services were developed or authorized by regulated brands to lure and possibly scam them.
